PEACE, JUSTICE AND STRONG INSTITUTION
The current world is riddled with events of abuse, crime, and injustice
albeit the remarkable progress made in terms of technology, science, and
economy. This plague of injustice, crime, and unrest is something that
humanity needs to collectively resolve for the betterment and
sustainability of our future generations and our Planet Earth. To confront
and tackle these issues, the local and national governments need to
design and plan strategies for more peaceful, inclusive societies with the
strong groundwork of competent regulations, and collaborations with all
the governing bodies and strata of citizens. The Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs) are a universal call to action to end poverty,
protect the planet, and improve global lives and prospects. The
achievement of the (SDGs) depends on the action taken by all
stakeholders- governments, businesses to individuals. Higher education
institutions are a powerhouse that can provide education and influence
and empower people to change how they think and work towards a
sustainable future.
This contribution can be addressed through Education, Research,
Operations & Governance, and External leadership. Many universities
globally have adapted their curriculum by introducing new degrees on
SDGs & their practical implementation. Nitte DU is a progressive and
remarkable university that stands on the foundation of humanity. Since its
inception, Nitte DU has played an active role in the society by lending a
helping hand and acting as a source of progress through the fog of
ignorance and incivility, thereby paving the path towards a humane
society.

National Education Policy:
The global education development agenda reflected in the Goal 4
(SDG4) of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by
India in 2015 - seeks to “ensure inclusive and equitable quality education
and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all” by 2030. Such a lofty
goal will require the entire education system to be reconfigured to
support and foster learning, so that all the critical targets and goals
(SDGs) of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development can be
achieved.
Higher education plays an extremely significant role in promoting human
as well as societal wellbeing and in developing India as envisioned in its
Constitution - a democratic, just, socially conscious, cultured, and
humane nation upholding liberty, equality, fraternity, and justice for all.
Higher education significantly contributes towards sustainable livelihoods
and economic development of the nation. As India moves towards
becoming a knowledge economy and society, more young Indians are
likely to aspire for higher education.

Cyberbullying detection and prevention tool:
The pervasive issue of cyberbullying on Twitter has prompted our
initiative to use machine learning algorithms for the detection and
removal of negative comments. Instead of waiting for users to report
bullying, we analyse past interactions to detect harmful content
beforehand. We have also created a user-friendly interface for easier
reporting and removal. Cyberbullying is a genuine issue, especially for
younger users, and can cause psychological harm. Our goal is to use
technology to make online spaces safer and more respectful. We believe
in promoting responsible technology use and supporting digital
community well-being. The cyberbullying detection Website effectively
removes hate comments from social media using machine learning and
sentiment analysis, promoting a respectful online environment. Through
preprocessing, the Website filters out negative tweets and hate-related
content, ensuring a clean dataset for analysis and model training. The
user-friendly interface simplifies tasks like uploading datasets, removing
hate comments, and visualizing data, enhancing social media data
management and analysis.
Cyber hacking breaches prediction using machine
learning:
Cyber-physical systems (CPS) integrate physical processes,
computational resources, and communication capabilities, making them
vulnerable to intelligent cyber-attacks. Deception attacks inject false data,
compromising system integrity. Using deep neural networks enables early
detection of such attacks. Resilient control algorithms, coupled with
reputation systems, effectively isolate compromised agents, enhancing
overall system
security and performance. These attacks, unlike accidental faults, operate
stealthily and intelligently, potentially disrupting or disabling CPS
functionality. Machine learning algorithms, particularly deep neural
networks, prove invaluable in analysing the vast, varied, and high-speed
data generated by CPS, identifying hidden attack patterns efficiently. In
this research, CPS is modelled as a network of agents with a leader-
follower structure, enhancing coordination and response. Resilient control
consensus method can be used to maintain stability in complex discrete
cyber-physical networks even during cyber-attacks. Machine learning
can be used to analyse patterns, learn from them, and prevent similar
attacks.
